Meet Mrs. Stork

Hello everyone!  I'm Brenna Stork (formally Baxter) and I am one of two first grade teachers at Lettie Brown Elementary School in Morton, IL.  This is my fifth year of teaching first grade at Brown and I recently completed Master's Degree in Reading from Illinois State University.  I truly love teaching first grade and working with students to help them grow as readers, writers and problem solvers during this year of transformation and self-discovery!  I strive to incorporate science and social studies into our daily work in the classroom and make learning exciting and rewarding for all of my students. 



My husband, Dylan, and I live in Eureka, IL. I enjoy reading, singing, and watching TV shows.  We are big Cubs and Kansas Jayhawks fans and love going to games and cheering them on! 

 

Some of my favorites include: coffee (Dunkin' Donuts is an obsession), traveling (especially to the beach and Disney World!), taking long walks, game nights with family, shopping, and performing in musical theater.  

I am so excited to meet a new group of first grade kiddos every fall! I'm looking forward to teaching and learning with my students all year long.  I am excited to see what new challenges the year will bring and plan to experiment with incorporating new uses for technology in the classroom as much as possible!
